Scoring

In Baccarat, each card is valued in points. If the total sum of the points exceeds 9, the tens are subtracted from the points. 13 points are thus reduced to 3 points. The goal of the Player and the Banker is to get as close to 9 points as possible. Initially, both the Player and the Banker are dealt 2 cards. But more cards can come into play.

Points

The card number is equal to the number of points, with the exception of 10. The exceptions are listed below:

Extra card for the Player

If the Player has 5 or less points, a card is automatically added. A 6 or 7 automatically passes and the Player wins with 8 or 9 points.

Extra card for the Banker

If the Player draws a third card, the Bank receives an additional card according to the same rules. If the Player has only 2 cards, the Bank receives additional cards as follows:

• If the Bank has 0, 1 or 2 points, he always gets an extra card.
• If the Bank has 3 points, he gets an extra card if the Player's third card was not 8.
• If the Bank has 4 points, he gets an extra card if the Player's third card was 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7.
• If the Bank has 5 points, he gets an extra card if the Player's third card was 4, 5, 6 or 7.
• If the Bank has 6 points, he gets an extra card if the Player's third card was 6 or 7.

Example

The Player gets a 7 and an 8, then that adds up to 15 and he has 5 points. The tens are taken off and the player is automatically dealt a third card, an 8. (8 + 5 = 13). The player gets 3 points. The Bank gets a 9 and a woman. This brings the score to 9 + 0 = 9. The Bank wins with 9 points. If you have bet on the Bank, you win 95% of your bet.
